Beautiful hand embroidered and beaded sari trim in blue,green and gold on a cobalt blue tulle. This border was cut off from what was once I'm sure a stunning saree.

As it was cut off from a old sari its still in one piece but the measurements are 2 pieces measuring 1 meter each and 2 pieces measuring over 2 meters, that's over 15 feet of one of a kind trim. Or 5 yards. And its width is 2inches or 5.5cm.

This trim would make a fascinating border to any ball gown or wedding dress, also with this much trim you could use it on quite a few evening bags. There are a few flaws of loose thread but nothing a talented seamstress could not fix.

Anybody who does hand embroidery, would marvel at the workmanship and time it took to make this piece of art.

The back of the trim is protected by a gold lame and the beads well I can't say what they are, they look like some kind of spiral almost like tiny gold springs. But definitely made from a gold wire.

Sari is the traditional Dress of Indian women, you can still see them wearing Sari's today from casual everyday wear to wedding and special events, this trim must have come from a very special sari.
