Do you need a way to make that backpack stand out in the crowd? Do you also like to celebrate your Scottish heritage? Our St. Andrew's Cross Flag Patch will help you with both! It's a wonderful item that is very versatile.

This patch is made with a polyester/cotton blend base fabric in royal blue cut into a rectangle with rounded corners. On top of that is embroidered a white "X". And around the edges, is a satin stitch in black. The satin stitch gives the patch a wonderfully finished look. It also keeps the fabric from fraying. Fused to the back of the fabric is stabilizer. This helps the stitches stay in place and the durability of the patch.

Our SEW-ON patches are great for personalizing any item. These can include (but are in no way limited to) your jeans, jacket, backpack, messenger bag, sweatshirt, or hat. Or you may just want to add to your patch collection.

Each of our patches is cut by hand and then individually embroidered. This means that each one may look just a little different, but not much.

It is said that Scotland has the oldest continually used sovereign flag in the world, beginning in AD 832. This flag is called St. Andrew's Cross or the Saltire. It has a blue field with a white 'X'. The 'X' represents the orthodox cross that St. Andrew was martyred upon. St. Andrew, of course, being the patron saint of Scotland.
