Is your Celtic heritage that of Cornwall? Do you have a hard time finding items sporting your Cornish pride? Not a problem. We have a Flag of Cornwall patch that will work. Sew it on to your backpack, jacket or anything else that comes to mind and let the world know you trace you heritage to Cornwall and are proud of it!

This patch is made of a heavy duty black 100% cotton canvas. It is cut into a rectangle with rounded corners creating the flag shape. On top is embroidered a cross in white. Around the edge is a satin stitched boarder in black. The boarder gives the patch a wonderful, finished look. It also keeps the fabric from fraying. Fused to the back is stabilizer. This keeps the stitches in place and helps with the durability of the patch.

Our SEW-ON patches are great for personalizing any item. These can include (but are in no way limited to) your jeans, jacket, backpack, messenger bag, sweatshirt, or hat. Or you may just want to add to your patch collection.

Each of our patches is cut by hand and then individually embroidered. This means that each one may look just a little different, but not much.

The flag of Cornwall is also the flag attributed to Saint Piran, a 6th century Cornish abbot who is generally considered the patron saint of Cornwall. The story goes that Saint Piran chose black and white because it symbolized the molten tin he saw flowing from ore he had in his fire. Others think the flag was adapted from the livery of Cornish Families. Either way, the first known record of a description of the flag of Cornwall is from 1838 and is still flown as a symbol of Cornish identity.

There is also a second, more symbolic meaning behind the flag of Cornwall. That is the light of truth shining out of the darkness of evil.
