Elegant 20.5" necklace. The round faceted crystals that make up the bulk of this necklace are almost indescribable. They are a transparent smoky shade with a somewhat violet cast, and a golden-rainbow finish. These mysterious beads are offset by bluish-violet rondelle crystals with silver-plated round spacers. Adding a touch of silver to a copper piece gives brightness, fullness and an extra "something"...elegance, maybe? You tell me. The focal point of the necklace is an asymmetrical synthetic quartz trapezoid, completely transparent, like a chunk of pure ice. The bead links and handmade S-hook clasp are composed of 18 gauge electroplated, tarnish-resistant copper wire.

Wire-linked necklaces with Austrian crystal beads are somewhat heavy. However, this one sits just below the neck. At this length, it frames the face, doesn't bounce or catch on anything, clears the neckline of any ornate blouse...and is comfortable enough to forget you're wearing it. I have trouble wearing beaded strands because they pinch me; never a problem with these!
