This is one of my favorite and most versatile necklaces. A new kind of "silver necklace" with a vaguely Gothic flare. I made one of these for myself, and I wear it everywhere. Mainly composed of silvery-finished Austrian crystal rondelles, it is interspersed with black crystal beads accented by small silver-plated brass rounds. The focal center bead is a clear synthetic quartz trapezoid - a small chunk of carved ice. The crystals rest on links of 18 gauge silver-colored copper wire that is electroplated and tarnish resistant. (The color is IN the copper, not plated on.) Measures 19 inches with a handmade easy-to-use S-hook clasp.

Austrian crystal and wire necklaces can be somewhat heavy. At this "princess" length, they are quite comfortable to wear. They don't snag on anything or bounce around. They frame the face and clear the necklines of most elaborate blouses. It's easy to forget you're wearing one.
