Versatile phosphate. Uses include: cleaning compound, photographic developers; removing boiler scale; water softer; wet finishing - ph value adjustment; aluminium polishing, burnishing; sugar refining.
TSP is a very strong cleaner. Use it carefully and test before using on surfaces. Recommended usage varies depending on what you are cleaning. Typically used 1 cup to 1 gallon of warm water and up from there.
TEST BEFORE USE! TSP is often used for washing exterior surfaces prior to painting. Often it is used in combination with bleach. TSP and bleach may kill both the mildew and remove characteristic stains. Do not use on metals as the TSP and the bleach may damage many metal and painted surfaces. It can also adversely stain woods. Do not use on glass either, since it will leave a filmy residue.
