Metallic dark blue and purple is one of my favorite color combinations, and is especially nice when combined with the brass, wood, and dark colors of steampunk style. This art charm is especially "charming" because there is so much movement within the charm itself. I began this design by de-constructing a clock gear, from which I "harvested" the large brass gear used as the base of the charm, as well as the small chunky brass disc used as the dangle on the bottom of the gear. Once I had the bottom dangle placed, I then very patiently added four more dangles to the charm - on the front, a purple glass drop dangle, and a dangle made from some lovely metallic blue & purple seed beads and a tiny brass gear. On the back side of the charm, I added a dangle of a short section of tiny antique brass chain and another dangle, a tiny purple velvet Swarovski crystal. ... This picture is representative of this charm design. The charm you will receive will be almost identical to this picture, but since I'm human, and don't use a factory to produce my charms, there will be small differences that add to the hand-crafted appeal. Each art charm ships with an adjustable black cotton cord - the cord is a little stiff at first, but it gets softer with wear (like a new pair of jeans).
