Handmade Southern Gem Colorwood Mach3/Venus Razor with Chrome Accents

This one of a kind Mach3/Venus Razor was made with the utmost care. With a discerning eye I scrupulously select the Southern Gem Colorwood to hand turn, sand, and finish each Mach3/Venus Razor on my lathe with a multi step process. This method is used to not only provide a gorgeous shine but to protect the wood for years to come - even with daily use of the Mach3/Venus Razor. I then determine which accent looks the best with Southern Gem Colorwood; in this case I chose Chrome accents.

Colorwood is a dyed plywood composed of various color combinations dyed maple veneers. Unlike regular plywood, the ply material runs the same direction, without cross banding; making turning the Colorwood quite similar to turning solid stock. When the material is cut at an angle, various grain pattern effects can be achieved.
