I love Thimbles! I've collected them for years, so I decided to make them out of glass just like my beads.

This thimble is a Floral thimble featuring several blue zinnia flowers with Cubic Zirconia for stamens "growing" and red cosmos around the outside.

It measures 27mm tall and 24 mm wide.

It is made with a white glass base upon which black glass was applied. The flowers were "planted". A ring of gold adventurine was placed at the base of the thimble. Very pretty!

All my Thimbles are made with Effetre, Moretti, Vetrofond, Lauscha, Devardi and Ornela glass rods or a combination there of and have been properly annealed in a digitally controlled kiln overnight for lasting durability.

Each thimble is individually hand made, detailed and signed by glass artist, Colleen Schroll. It is a unique, one of a kind thimble and no two are exactly alike

The thimbles were made by myself in my little studio right in the middle of cow country in Missouri. I've been making beads and glass pens for over 18 years now and enjoy every minute I can get at the torch. I just recently added thimbles to my glass play and really enjoy thinking up new designs for such a small space. Although I usually can grab about two hours in the evening to devote to beads and things.
