I've been making and selling this soap for about 8 years now. This soap contains an infusion of the Jewelweed plant. Jewelweed contains the compound Lawsone that counteracts the irritant properties called Urushiol in Poison Ivy and Poison Oak. Reducing the itch and swelling of a "encounter" with Poison Ivy. 95% of people who are allergic to Poison Ivy will respond to Jewelweed treatment within 2 to 3 days.

My Husband who is EXTREMELY allergic to Poison Ivy, uses this soap right after he's done mowing the lawn or cutting wood and has not had a break out since I started making it! I myself am not allergic to Poison Ivy but I wash with this soap after I'm done harvesting the jewelweed or am finished with yard work because my husband can get it from me.
