Spring time brings us a dazzling display of flowers. I try in a small way to bring them to beads. Thought I'd put some several purple tulips, pink posies and rust buds on a focal bead.

This bead measures 40 mm long by 12 mm diameter.

It is made with a base color of white with enamels applied and then encased in clear. Then I "planted" the flowers and captured them on a bead.

All my beads are made with Effetre, Moretti, Vetrofond, Lauscha and Ornela glass rods or a combination there of.

All my beads have a 3/32 hole and have been properly annealed in a digitally controlled kiln overnight for lasting durability.

The beads were made by myself in my little studio right in the middle of cow country in Missouri. I've been making beads and glass pens for over 18 years now and enjoy every minute I can get at the torch. Although I usually can grab about two hours in the evening to devote to beads.
