March by Kate Greenaway--Green Tiger Press Vintage Postcard 5" x 7" (12.7 x 17.8 cm)

I have gone into my archives and unearthed a stash of vintage Green Tiger Press ephemera that I am listing in my ArtFire shop.

This postcard depicts the theme of the month of "March" as drawn by Kate Greenaway (1846 - 1901) for her 1890 Almanac. A young girl wearing a flowing green cape and pumpkin-colored empire-style dress is out walking on a blustery March day; her hat has blown off and she is in the midst of retrieving it under a bare tree.

The last photo shows some additional images that I may be listing in my ArtFire shop.

This image was exactingly reproduced by the legendary Green Tiger Press in La Jolla, San Diego County, California, in-house on a four-color Heidelberg printing press in the early 1980's: this is an authentic vintage postcard displaying all the attention to detail for which the Green Tiger Press was justifiably famous.

I worked for the Green Tiger Press for a short time when I first moved to California and was an avid collector of their images from children's books. When the business was sold in the mid-1980's, I went to their closing sale and stocked up on books, notecards, bookplates, and postcards.

Shipping will be by First Class U.S. mail with Delivery Confirmation; upgrades to Priority Mail and insurance can be arranged. I am happy to combine shipping charges on multiple purchases on any items in my shop.
