Fine hand embroidered Art Deco scrolls comprised of stem stitches, satin stitches, and French knots in black cotton embroidery thread ornament the front of this very unusual red gold satin custom hand embroidered guitar strap. The guitar strap is lined on the back with black satin and the hand stitching up the sides of the strap is gold thread. The leather tabs are black premium suede leather.

Art Deco is a fascinating art form that first emerged in the Paris art scene of the 1920's. It is characterized by bold, orderly geometry, intense linear relief, and rich opulent colors. Art Deco has found expression in virtually every art medium from oil painting to architecture. Its popularity has waxed and waned, often being revisited during times of cultural turbulence or austerity. It is currently making yet another resurgence in popularity and I am pleased to be able to offer another expression of the Art Deco style in needle and thread.

My guitar straps are amazingly comfortable. The 3 inch width allows for weight distribution over 50% more area than conventional guitar straps and even solid body bass players have commented on how comfortable my guitar straps are. Further, because there are 3 bottom layers of fabric between your shoulder and the polypropylene foundation, there is a soft cushion to help further distribute the weight of your guitar without holding the body heat that standard lamb's wool shoulder pads retain, so your strap is soft, cool, and comfortable. No more aching neck or shoulder and no more pressure points.

This is a difficult shade of satin to find and when I found it, I just had to buy it. The color, while very distinct, complements virtually any wood tone guitar body and most solid color bodies. It is just truly a one-of-a-kind guitar strap and I'm very proud of it.

CONSTRUCTION - The guitar strap foundation is 3 inch wide (7.62 centimeters) and 6 foot long (1.83 meters) 2000-pound test commercial grade polypropylene strap material. The strap adjusts from a maximum length of 6 feet (1.83 meters) to a minimum length of 39 inches (.99 meters).

LEATHER TABS - The leather tabs are comprised of a 3 inch by 8 inch section of top quality leather, folded over a commercial grade plastic anchor bar and trimmed to shape. The two sides of the leather are then glued with commercial strength tanner glue and double whip stitched with heavy waxed leather sewing thread designed specifically for stitching leather. The button hole is hand punched and cut to precisely fit a standard 12mm guitar pin.
