Paisley Guitar Strap Hand Embroidered and Beaded on Crimson Silk

Product Description

Pearl beads and white silk embroidery thread detail this exquisite paisley hand embroidered and hand beaded custom guitar strap. The ornamentation consists of three hand embroidered paisley icons in white satin embroidery thread outlined with white pearl beads. Black glass seed beads top off the points of the floral accents around the edges of the paisley emblem. The guitar strap is covered with crimson Dupioni silk and is lined on the back with black satin. The leather tabs are black premium suede leather.

Dupioni silk is the result of two silk worms spinning their silk threads within a shared cocoon. The threads from each silk worm interweave with each other, forming an especially strong single silk thread. Dupioni silk has a slight and subtle iridescent quality to it because the silk thread spun by one silk worm is slightly different from the thread spun by the other silk worm. The mingling of the two colors within the same thread creates the shimmering quality characteristic of Dupioni silk.

My guitar straps are amazingly comfortable. The 3 inch width allows for weight distribution over 50% more area than conventional guitar straps and even solid body bass players have commented on how comfortable my guitar straps are. Further, because there are 3 bottom layers of fabric between your shoulder and the polypropylene foundation, there is a soft cushion to help further distribute the weight of your guitar without holding the body heat that standard lamb's wool shoulder pads retain, so your strap is soft, cool, and comfortable. No more aching neck or shoulder and no more pressure points.

Inspiration/Story Behind This Product

I saw this incredibly beautiful fabric and just had to make a guitar strap from it. The color is so robust and the fabric itself so strong and resilient, I just think it's one of my best straps yet.

CONSTRUCTION - The guitar strap foundation is 3 inch wide (7.62 centimeters) and 6 foot long (1.83 meters) 2000-pound test commercial grade polypropylene strap material. The strap adjusts from a maximum length of 6 feet (1.83 meters) to a minimum length of 39 inches (.99 meters).

LEATHER TABS - The leather tabs are comprised of a 3 inch by 8 inch section of top quality leather, folded over a commercial grade plastic anchor bar and trimmed to shape. The two sides of the leather are then glued with commercial strength tanner glue and double whip stitched with heavy waxed leather sewing thread designed specifically for stitching leather. The button hole is hand punched and cut to precisely fit a standard 12mm guitar pin.
