Capturing the beauty and exuberance of Indian artwork, this rich green Dupioni silk hand embroidered custom guitar strap is ornamented with an Indian paisley floral emblem and a swirl of embroidered leaves. The embroidered images are created with satin and stem stitches and French knots of hand dyed standard and thick twisted embroidery threads of green, crimson, orange yellow, and blue. The back lining of the strap is crimson red Dupioni silk that matches the crimson embroidery thread on the front of the guitar strap. The leather tabs are black premium suede leather.

Since the imprint for this paisley image is made with an authentic, hand carved wood stamp from India, I wanted to stay true to Asian Indian culture and researched traditional color combinations in their textiles and artwork. I have tried here to recreate the vibrant, sharp colors and contrasts that characterize India artwork.

My guitar straps are amazingly comfortable. The 3 inch width allows for weight distribution over 50% more area than conventional guitar straps and even solid body bass players have commented on how comfortable my guitar straps are. Further, because there are 3 bottom layers of fabric between your shoulder and the polypropylene foundation, there is a soft cushion to help further distribute the weight of your guitar without holding the body heat that standard lamb's wool shoulder pads retain, so your strap is soft, cool, and comfortable. No more aching neck or shoulder and no more pressure points.

I was looking through the studio of an artisan here on Artfire, www.catfluff.artfire.com, and found the most beautiful hand carved wooden stamps that she collects on her trips to India. I was struck by their beauty and complexity and found the detail in this one irresistible. I hope I have done justice to the vibrancy of India's culture and thank Catfluff for making me aware of such beautiful and useful tools for my guitar straps. I hope you like this strap.

CONSTRUCTION - The guitar strap foundation is 3 inch wide (7.62 centimeters) and 6 foot long (1.83 meters) 2000-pound test commercial grade polypropylene strap material. The strap adjusts from a maximum length of 6 feet (1.83 meters) to a minimum length of 39 inches (.99 meters).

LEATHER TABS - The leather tabs are comprised of a 3 inch by 8 inch section of top quality leather, folded over a commercial grade plastic anchor bar and trimmed to shape. The two sides of the leather are then glued with commercial strength tanner glue and double whip stitched with heavy waxed leather sewing thread designed specifically for stitching leather. The button hole is hand punched and cut to precisely fit a standard 12mm guitar pin.
