This incredible dragon vein agate pendant resembles a colorful satellite shot of some watery place with islands on the earth. It reminds me of the San Juan Islands in Washington State as I fly over. I found some beautifully crafted cloisonne oval beads that echo the same hues of green, red and pinkish white that paint the picture on the face of the agate pendant. The hand crafted pure brass chain harmonizes perfectly with the brass decoration outlining the floral design on the cloisonne brass beads.

The opposite side of the pendant shows only the green color. It appears that this stone may be agate that was formed in the ocean from a clam fossil from long, long ago. It has the hemispherical shape and the seam all along the rounded side of the stone. This is just my guess, of course. It is a fascinating stone to contemplate. With old agate and malachite stones to echo its deep green color and the brass chain and cloissone to complement it in their own ways, it will be an eye-catching accessory on anyone who dares to wear it.

The three sided ovoid deep green beads are old agate beads capped with a wire wrapped circle and small green agate beads that hang on the hand made chain as a unit. There are also four old hand made malachite beads from the Congo that came into my collection in 1982. A traveling friend went to the Congo from our home in Yaounde, Cameroon and brought these back for me. They are hand drilled, so the hole does not go straight through the center of the bead in some cases, which adds to their charm.

The brass chain and clasp are very strong and have been tempered to hold their shapes.
