Vintage style elaborate Edwardian, Downton Abbey hat with a wide brim for summer. The hat is in a summer wheat knitted lace with a over all leaf pattern. It is decorated with handmade ribbon worked flowers in various shades of ivory to ecru accented with mini black organza flowers.

This hat is made using traditional millinery techniques. Made from summer lightweight fabrics, starting with a black netting which has been reinforced with a wire cage having the fashion fabric of lace draped over the completed netted cage. The brim is made with several layers of netting and fashion fabric lace and is wired for structure and a hand sewn binding encompasses the edge. Many hours of research and sewing went into the making of this hat. If you are looking for a vintage hat dating around the 1900's shop no more. This truly is a 1900's reproduction hat. A great hat for a Renaissance faire, vintage wedding or garden tea party.
