This warm winter scarf was knit holding a strand of blue acrylic yarn and a strand of white acrylic yarn together. This creates a lovely varied pattern and adds thickness and warmth. The scarf measures 56 inches long with a 5 inch long fringe. It's 5 1/2 inches wide and can be worn by a man or a woman. It matches my Handmade Blue and White Knit Winter Hat with Brim, which can be found in my Hats and Scarves category. The scarf can be machine washed on the gentle cycle and line dried.

The weather certainly can be inspirational! The more snow that piles up outside, the more I want to knit warm hats and scarves! I love the effect I get by holding two different colored yarns together while knitting. It makes each item very unique and different.
