Add some summer fun with this whimsical waterbug sculpture. Hnadsculpted in polymer clay, this sculpture measures 3" tall and 3" wide. The purple waterbug is busy building a sandcastle on the beach. He holds his yellow shovel as he puts the finishing touches on his sandy masterpiece. He's wearing a yellow snorkle mask, an orange life jacket and yellow swim trunks. His wings were made with liquid polymer clay sprinkled with green embossing powder. I used black plastic coated wire for his antennae. I've signed and dated the bottom of the sculpture, which has been textured to simulate sand.

I love summer and the beach, and as a kid I spent many hours building sand castles and playing in the water. This is my whimsical re-creation of those fun times.
