This dog themed trinket box was made by covering an empty flavored coffee tin with blue polymer clay. I textured the clay to look like a stone wall and accented the top and bottom of the container with green clay. The clay on the bottom was impressed with a filigree design, and the clay at the top was impressed with a paw print design. The box measures 4 inches long, 3 inches wide, and 5 inches tall (to the top of the handle). Eight dogs adorn the sides of the container. The blue lid and handle were sculpted over wire and decorated with olive green ovals which have been impressed with a filigree stamp. I used high gloss glaze on the entire box. I covered the bottom of the box with felt, which I've signed and dated. This Dog Trinket Box would make a great gift for any dog lover!

I've been saving my empty flavored coffee tins, knowing I would be able to find a creative way to recycle them. These trinket boxes are very handy, and a fun way to re-use the coffee tins.
