Polymer Clay Oak Tree With Face and Glow in the Dark Moon Wall Hanging

Product Description

This handmade decorative Oak Tree wall decoration is a one of a kind piece, sculpted by hand in polymer clay. It measures 9 1/2 inches tall from the base of the tree to the top of the wire. A full moon, which glows in the dark, is nestled in the branches of the Oak tree. I marbled together several shades of brown to create the tree trunk and branches, which I textured to look like bark. There's also a face sculpted into the tree trunk, complete with Oak leaves for hair and a mustache. The leaves were sculpted from shades of red, yellow, orange, and brown clay. A sturdy wire runs from the trunk of the tree and across the branches for attaching to the wall. This would make a unique and interesting Fall decoration for any home!

Inspiration/Story Behind This Product

One night I was taking a walk, and as I topped a hill I saw the full moon appear behind the trees in front of me. Instantly I knew I had to sculpt that vision. As I was sculpting the tree an image of Treebeard from the Lord of the Rings popped into my head. While this isn't Treebeard, he might be some very distant relative.
