This pretty choker necklace was created by hand and features blue glass butterfly beads, acrylic purple flower beads, and a combination of blue acrylic and glass beads. The teardrop shaped pendant was sculpted from blue polymer clay. I appliqued variegated green polymer clay leaves and slices of purple millifiori flower petals in the center of the pendant. I added a yellow center to the flower, and glazed the pendant with high gloss glaze after it was baked. The pendant is 1 inch tall and 3/4 inches wide. The beads were strung onto a 14 inch long stainless steel memory wire choker. One nice thing about a memory wire necklace is that you never have to worry about fastening a clasp. The wire maintains it's shape- just slip it on and go!

I sculpted the pendant first, and created the necklace to match that. By appliqueing the flower petals and leaves I've created more of a three dimensional look to the pendant. This necklace was inspired by the flowers and butterflies of Spring and Summer ;-)
