Iridescent Blue and Green Seahorse Handmade polymer clay magnet

This shimmering seahorse was sculpted in polymer clay and measures 1 1/2" tall. I sculpted him in tan clay, baked him, then rubbed various blue and green shades of oil pastels on the clay and baked again. I dusted iridescent Duo Blue Green Pearl Ex over the seahorse before sealing. I used jewelry glue to attach the round magnet to the back.

Inspiration/Story Behind This Product

This was more experimentation with oil pastels, as well as a new color of Pearl Ex. This piece turned out even better than I expected. I love the variation in colors as the light hits the iridescent surface. The picture really doesn't do it justice.
