This scarecrow doesn't seem to be doing a very good job of scaring crows away from the pumpkin patch! He enjoys their company though- just look at the big grin on his face! This piece was sculpted by hand in polymer clay and measures 6" tall and 6" wide. The pumpkin vines have grown up and around the scarecrow, wrapping around his pole and body. He does his best to guard the three pumpkins growing at his feet though. The largest crow perched on his arm is the mother to the two smaller crows, and she's just taking her children out to meet the neighbors. The bottom of this fun fall sculpture is covered in felt which I've signed and dated. This would be a delightful decoration for Autumn!

The weather's been cool, the winter squash is getting ripe, and that put me in mind of pumpkin patches and scarecrows. I like friendly scarecrows who get along well with the crows. This piece just makes me smile, and I hope it does the same for you.
