These unique, one of a kind earrings were sculpted in polymer clay and measure 2 1/2" long, with the masks measuring 2" wide. I sculpted the masks in black polymer clay, then impressed a pattern on them. Before baking I rubbed Pearl Ex powder on the raised surfaces, including the bird-like beak. I covered the back of the earrings with glow in the dark clay, and filled the eyes with glow in the dark dimensional paint, which allows the eyes to glow even more brightly in the dark. The masks are accented by green glass beads and I used surgical steel hooks. People will definitely take notice when you were these beauties!

I have to thank the Polymer Clay Smooshers Guild (of which I am a proud member) for inspiring me to try my hand at creating masks. Until the October Masquerade Ball Challenge, I had never sculpted a mask. Now however, I have LOTS of ideas for new masks to create, in all different sizes. I like the idea of mask earrings, something you can wear all the time.
