This adorable Polar Bear Christmas ornament was sculpted by hand in polymer clay and measures 5" tall. The cute white bear wears a beautiful blue scarf and hat which I knit using acrylic yarn. A gold colored metal bell is sewn to the tip of his hat. He has bright blue eyes which were painted with acrylic paint and sealed with a gloss glaze. His skis are blue polymer clay and the tips of his ski poles are shaped like snowflakes. I've attached a white silk cord for hanging from the Christmas tree. I've also signed and dated the bottom of his ski.

I started out with a vague "bear ornament" idea, then decided to go for the cute and whimsical by putting him on skis and giving him an adorable and silly face. The snowflake charms worked perfectly for the tips of his poles, and it was pure luck that I came across them in my bead stash. Once he was baked I knew I wanted to give him a hat and scarf, and this blue yarn just jumped out at me. I think it makes a perfect combination.
