There's quite a bit of stretch in the throw to play with during photo shoots. If this blanket is not stretched at all, then it's 2 feet wide and 3.5 feet with the fringe. It stretches to 4 feet or more wide.

The very first of these blankets was a special request Feb 2009 from an expectant mother (see the original at http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=13827129 )...she wanted a blanket in the same open, lacy, elastic stitch that I use when I make many of my scarves. Thanks for the great idea, Jenny! Now they're popular for their versatility and ease of use. :)
