This bookmark is part of my 'WhymsyBee' series of original oil pastel drawings. I then varnish and laminate them to protect the books - you don't have to worry about any marks on the pages!

This one features my interpretation of Native Western Rock Art, specifically 'Hands and Holding Hands'. My drawings are based on those in the book "Messages on Stone" by William Michael Stokes and William Lee Stokes. Includes a golden peach ribbon and greenish glass bead.
Inspiration/Story Behind This Product
I adore bookmarks. And I like to have LOTS on hand, with the hope of matching the book. I also HATE looking for bookmarks in stores - I am NOT interested in a bookmark with a picture of the star from the latest movie blockbuster. So years ago, when I ran across some hand-made bookmarks in a store in E. Lansing, MI, I bought two and decided to make my own. Yes, they are a little more expensive than your everyday book (but not by much!). However, if you buy one, you'll have - or give - a piece of original art that will last for years - and you'll support an artist!
