This tutorial is one of my favorite trees. Here in the Northwest we have a lot of Pine trees which inspired this design.

The instructions are written for a beginner, but if you have made gem trees in the past, you will still find this challenging.

The gemstones on this tree are twisted in with the wire in making the branches and are not glued as in some designs.

Most all my trees are made using 24 gauge wire and gemstone chips. The mineral or rock base is optional and a terra cotta dish or planter would work fine.

This tree would make a great centerpiece on a holiday table by using dark green stones and maybe some red crystals or glass beads.
