This lariat style necklace features a trio of Fancy Jasper Zuni Bears. They dangle from a hand woven herringbone weave seed bead necklace that is done in colors that compliment and highlight the Fancy Jasper beads and stones. The seed bead colors in the herringbone chain are matte and transparent olive green, matte transparent topaz, matte silver lined reddish brown, copper lined burnt orange and light gray lined clear.

The Zuni Bears hang from three strands of Fancy Jasper pebble beads and seed beads. The strand vary in length. Three strands of seed beads, in the six chain colors, add extra fullness to the fringe. Overall, the tassel length is approximately 2 1/2 inches (6cm.) long. The loop that the tassel fits through has five strands of Fancy Jasper beads mixed with seed beads. It adds to the fullness of the look of the Zuni Bear tassel.

The coordinating hoop earrings are done in 4mm Fancy Jasper beads with a matte transparent topaz seed bead in between them. They are somewhat oval in shape. The length is approximately 1 inch (2.54cm) and they are approximately 3/4 of an inch (2cm.) wide. They are on hypo-allergenic surgical steel ear wires.

Fancy Jasper is believed to help alleviate worry and depression and to facilitate tranquility.

In Zuni lore, the bear is associated with the Western direction. Characteristics of bears include strength, courage, adaptability, healing and spiritual communion. He is also known for his curative powers.
