This one of a kind, 40mm Green Aventurine Kokopelli, hangs from a 16 inch,(40.64cm) handwoven seed bead chain that sparkles with three different shades of green beads that compliment the stone. The handmade spiral chain also has 4mm Green Aventurine beads randomly woven into it. Miyuki seed beads in ceylon (a pearly finish) green, sea foam green and Delica seed beads in silver lined Aqua make up the outside of the chain which had a ceylon green core of size 6 beads. This is the second in my Kokopelli series.

The focal Kokopelli stone is attached to the spiral chain by a right angle weave loop done in transparent sea foam green seed beads. It is woven far back into the chain to make it extra secure.

This choker has a beaded toggle and loop closure. Each end of the toggle has a 4mm Green Aventurine bead. From the clasp to the bottom of the focal stone, the length is 18 inches (45.72cm).

The coordinating earrings are done in a spiral weave also and have 4mm Green Aventurine beads in the spiral. The spirals hang from hypo-allergenic surgical steel ear wires. They are approximately 2 inches (5cm) long.

Legend has it that Aventurine is an all purpose healer used to reduce stress, develop confidence, improve the wearer's creativity and improve prosperity.

Most of the familiar Kokopelli descriptions are copied from Hopi art and those have derived from ancient Anasazi rock carvings. These date back over 3000 years. There are many legends surrounding this flute playing traveler who is known as a fertility god, prankster, healer and story teller. He is the only petroglyph to have a name, an identity and a gender.
