This one of a kind, 35mm sodalite Zuni Bear hangs from a six color hand woven seed bead herringbone weave chain. The colors of the beads echo the colors in the sodalite stone. It has a distinctive southwestern look and will go great with casual wear.

The chain colors consist of matte and silver lined matte cobalt blue beads, transparent and matte transparent cobalt, matte transparent silver lined pale gold and black lined crystal seed beads. All these shades and colors are found in the Zuni bear. The stone has a subtle sparkle to it with the flashes of color it has. There are a lot of gold flecks and threads running through the stone, but they were extremely hard to photograph.

This necklace set is 14 inches (35 cm) long and if you use the second loop in the peyote toggle and loop closure, it will lengthen to 16 inches (40.64 cm) long. The toggle closure is done in the same colors as the necklace.

The co-ordinating tassel earrings are approx. 2 inches (5cm) long. They hang from a 6mm fire polished cobalt blue crystal. The ear wires are hypo allergenic surgical steel. The colors are the same as in the necklace.

In Zuni lore, the bear represents the Western direction. He is associated with the color blue and known for his curative powers. Characteristics of bears include strength, courage, adaptability, healing and spiritual communion.

It is believed that sodalite enhances rational thinking, logic, emotional balance, clarity, truth and perception. It is also said to foster knowledge, wisdom and communication.

I love blue and this stone is a beautiful shade. As long as I find beautiful stones like this, I will continue to make my Zuni bear series. this is the fourth in my Zuni Bear series.
