Rich, deep purple Grade A amethyst chips form a full,lush tassel on this 16 inch (40 cm.) one of a kind, herringbone weave seed bead necklace. Woven in assorted shades of purple seed beads including amethyst, light amethyst, grape, colored lined tanzanite, matte light purple and more, this woven chain has a tweedy look to it. The ends of the herringbone weave are finished with 6mm amethyst color faceted Czech fire polished crystals. The tassel is connected to the herringbone chain by a 6mm clear AB finish Czech fire polished crystal. An AB finished bead is one that has an aurora borealis finish which reflects the colors of the bead kind of like and oil slick reflects colors.

The earrings that are included with this necklace are smaller tassels done in Grade A amethyst chips. The strands of chips that make up the earrings are approximately 1 inch (5cm. ) long. A 6mm clear AB finish Czech fire polished crystal connects the tassels to the ear wires. They hang from hypo-allergenic surgical steel ear wires.

This necklace was inspired by one my mom had when I was a child. Hers was woven in faux pearls, and had a pearl tassel connect to the necklace by an AB finish crystal. It was one of my favorite necklaces to look at. The reflections of the colors in the crystal fascinated me.

Amethyst is believed to increase spiritual awarness, inner peace, healing and postive transformation. It is said to relieve stress and is considered to be very healing in mind, body and soul.
