A one of a kind beauty, the perfect accessory for your Steampunk wardrobe! This piece has as its base a vintage pagoda umbrella, with fabric in a plaid pattern of predominantly blue and red, but also with yellow and green worked in. Each of the 10 ribs are accented with ivory braid, and the tip and edges are finished with bright red Venice lace, almost 12 yards total of lace and trim. There is some wear and staining of the fabric over the years, and several of the ribs are bent slightly at the curve. The shaft is wood, and it has a curved handle of clear lucite. When open it measures 30" across, and it is 32.5" long when closed.

I originally began creating these parasols for myself, as skin cancer runs in the family, and I received so many compliments on them, so I've begun offering them for sale. I start with new or vintage pieces and embellish them.

Shipping charges for parasols and hats are higher to accommodate for increased postal rates for odd-sized packages. Parasols are sent parcel post, so please allow 7-10 days for delivery. (Priority mail postage for parasols runs about US $40.00 at the new postal rates for odd oversized packages. If you wish quicker delivery, please contact me at time of purchase to make arrangements for additional postal fees.) Return receipt available at purchaser's request, at standard postal rates.
