Pendant made from a glass microscope slide contains layered transparencies of a woman's eye, a temple with a winged figure on top and the words "You are beautiful." The back glass is subtly embellished with copper, silver and pearl solvent inks. The glass slide has soldered edges treated with copper patina. The findings are a mix of raw copper wire and pre-made bead caps, toggle clasp and charm. The pendant is hung on three strands of glass beads in warm tones of copper, orange, yellow with some clear and crystal for a little sparkle. The total length from clasp to bottom of pendant is 12 inches.

I love the warmth of copper and the subtlety of the transparencies...how they catch the light and change with the background of skin or clothing. Every woman deserves to have someone recognize her beauty. And we should look inward at what is beautiful about ourselves.
