This necklace consists of alternating clear and strawberry quartz gemstones that are approximately 8 mm. Quartz makes up about 12% of the earth's crust and is colorless. It is made from a mineral called silicon dioxide. The variation in color for many quartz gemstones comes from the different trace mineral inclusions such as iron oxide. Strawberry quartz gets its color from the inclusions of various forms of iron oxide.

* The center of this necklace consists of two 18 mm x 10 mm white mother of pearl carved bird beads and one 20 mm x 10 mm white mother of pearl carved bird.
