Necklace is made of Amethyst, Rose Quartz, pink Cats Eye heart gemstone beads, and white mother of pearl nugget beads. Necklace is 16 inches long with a 2 inch extender. The cat's eye stone beads are in the shape of hearts and the white mother of pearl beads are carvings of birds. The darker purple amethyst stones are a lovely contrast to the lighter shades of pinks and roses.

Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz. Iron oxide impurities within this stone gives the violet color to amethyst. Amethyst stones bring stability, strength, and peace, calms fears and raises hopes.

Rose quartz is of the same family and contains trace amounts of titanium, iron, or manganese to give its pale pink color. Rose quartz stimulates love, happiness, and fidelity. It opens and unburdens the heart.

Cat eyes stones are actually part the Chrysoberyl family of gemstones. There are three varieties of Chrysoberyl: ordinary yellow-to-green Chrysoberyl, cat's eye or cymophane, and alexandrite. The cat's eye version produces an opalescence that reminds us of an eye of a cat. In its natural form, Chrysoberyl is a yellowish to green color, but can be dyed in other colors, such pink like the stones in this necklace. The Cat's Eye stone is worn for good fortune and good luck.
