These Ocean Jasper nuggets in this necklace contain brown, tan, gray and cream colored orbicular patterns and goes very well with the Peach Aventurine stones. The white mother-of pearl beads provides a lovely contrast complementing the color of the Jasper. Ocean Jasper is a rare mineral, mined in only one place in the world, in the country of Madagascar. Is called Ocean Jasper because the deposits are part of the coastline, and can only be reached by boat, and removed only during low tide. This stone is characterized by its concentric rings of color, and sometimes referred to as "Orbicular Ocean Jasper." The stone is found most commonly in shades of tans, gray, cream and less common colors are pinks and yellows.

Peach aventurine is part of the chalcedony family of quartz containing a micro-crystalline structure. It contains small inclusions of shiny minerals of mica which give the stone a sparkling effect. Aventurine gemstones ranges in color from green, peach, brown, blue and a creamy green. It is used for making jewelry and for ornamental purposes like vases, bowls, and figurines. Peach aventurine is sometimes referred to as the "Whisper Stone" because of its use in meditation and known for its qualities of centering and tranquility.

White mother of pearl stones are actually made from shells. Mother of pearl is referred to as nacre, is an iridescent layer of material which forms the shell lining of many mollusks. Pearl oysters and abalone are both sources of mother of pearl, which is widely used as an inlay in jewelry.
