Aventurine is a translucent variety of micro-crystalline quartz. It contains small inclusions of shiny minerals which give the stone a sparkling effect. Inclusions of mica will give this stone a silver like sheen. Aventurine gemstones ranges in color from green, peach, brown, blue and a creamy green. It is used for making jewelry and for ornamental purposes like vases, bowls, and figurines.
Aventurine found in Brazil, Indian, and Chile. This necklace is made of Green aventurine nuggets and combined with pink glass bugle beads and filigree silver plated beads. This color combination is suggestive of the spring season with the green aventurine for the green leaves and pink for flower blossoms. The pendant is made of pink beads with sterling silver accents and is held by a clasp so that it may be removed if you wish to wear the necklace alone. The necklace is 16 inches long with a 2 inch extender.
