Something different and intriguing to wear on your finger is this sterling silver ring. Carved from wax and then cast in sterling using the lost wax casting technique, this sterling swirl design ring size is approximately 6¼. This ring sits about 1/4" high on your finger with deep cut swirl designs on all sides of the ring as shown by the photos. Ring measures approximately 20mm in length by 27mm wide. The top of the ring measures about 15mm by 8mm. The ring fits very comfortably around the finger due to the square shape of the shank. The shank measures 3mm in thickness and is 12mm wide.

Ring is unique with no duplicates because of the way it is made. Lost wax casting is a method where the wax model of a jewelry piece is set in plaster and then heated at high temperatures so that the wax is burned off leaving a void in the plaster in the shape of the wax model. Then sterling silver metal is poured into the plaster mold, cooled, and broken away revealing the sterling metal piece. Thus, once the plaster is broken, the mold is gone.
