This Howlite stone is dyed to resemble a turquoise color and the matrices give it the look of a turquoise stone. Howlite gemstone is naturally a white colored with light and dark gray patterns but can be dyed to a variety of colors. Using Howlite as a substitute for turquoise is common and very economically. You still have a gemstone that has the same color as turquoise but not as expensive. This paisley styled pendant is cut from 12kt gold filled metal and a 14kt gold filled bezel soldered onto the piece to fit the stone. The bail for the pendant is soldered onto the back of the pendant and has an opening of 3mm by 16 mm. The bail allows for the use of a slide necklace, in other words you can use a wide necklace chain with this pendant.
