This necklace combines Strawberry Quartz and Carnelian gemstone chips. The colors of these stones alternate between lighter to darker shades of pink or "strawberry" color. Carnelian stones are also combined in this necklace to add an orange to red color variation to the overall pinkish hues. The center piece is a star-burst Strawberry quartz stone, 15 mm.

Strawberry quartz gets its color from the iron oxide mineral inclusions in the stone. Pure quartz is silicon dioxide and is clear to white in color when no other minerals are present. Strawberry quartz is known to be soothing and calming for someone who works in a fast-paced environment.

Carnelian is a variety of the silica mineral chalcedony (which is also part of the quartz family) colored by impurities of iron oxide. The color can vary greatly, ranging from pale orange to an intense almost-black coloration.The Carnelian used in this necklace are orange to red in color. Carnelian is used to aid in one's physical energy, courage, creativity, and compassion. Carnelian calms anger and grounds you in reality. Also it is used as an aid in meditation and deep concentration blocking out outside thoughts.
