Most people are familiar with the Balinese sterling handmade beads. But did you know that India also has an ancient jewelry tradition that stretches back thousands of years. As a way of saving family wealth, and for rulers to boast their prominence, and also as a link between the people and their Gods, Indian jewelry has been used as a way to uphold these traditions. The sterling beads used in this necklace are Indian sterling silver beads and reflect the visual theme of traditional Indian art which have been modified to meet the needs of the modern jewelry design. This necklace is made with sterling silver square beads with flower center and leaves in four corners with the pattern on both sides; size is 14mm by 14mm (1/2 inch by 1/2 inch). The background of each bead is lightly oxidized so that the designs on these beads are highlighted and stand out. To further enhance the beauty of these beads I mixed them with white glass pearls and 4mm clear Swarovski round faceted crystals. Pearls have an iridescent glow and softness so as to complement the sterling beads and not to overpower them.

* Each Indian square bead is 14mm by 14mm with flower center and leaves in four corners. Each bead is made by hand.

* The necklace comes with a beautiful flower S-hook style sterling silver clasp (32mm by 9mm).
* The necklace length is 17 inches and is adjustable to 18 and 19 inches.
