Book pins are 1 inch high, and 1¼ to 1½ inches wide.

Each book pin is unique. We offer them in red, red-orange, and brown), but the colors occur naturally with heating the copper pages during the making of the book, so they are extremely variable - see the many pictures to see some of the variation within each colorway. Each book is hand-scribed so that it appears to have text on the open pages, but no, they don't actually say anything.

Each book pin comes in a jewelry box, on a card with information about our studio.

We created the book pin not merely because we are bibliophiles ourselves, but because the form evolved naturally out of the process of foldforming. We forge these books one at a time, by folding and hammering two pieces of copper and one of brass all together, forming the spine of the book by hammering in a vice. The book itself is held together entirely mechanically, by the forging process alone, without any solder (though of course the pin back is soldered on). No two will ever be the same.
