These lovely earrings are made from silver watch flywheels and brass gears. A single Swarovski crystal butterfly accented by a pure hematite bead dangles and glistens at the very bottom of each earring.

The ear wires are pure jewelry-grade Sterling Silver.

I found some adorable Swarovski crystal butterflies, and had to make them into earrings!
Swarovski crystal is durable, and will never yellow like glass or plastic beads. When light catches the facets in the beads, it creates rainbows reminiscent of those created by diamonds. Just lovely!

The time invested was mostly spent trying to get the wheels and gears to hang properly. Working with watch parts is not as easy as even I thought it would be. =)
