Polka Dot Glass Pendant Made in Pot Melt Style

Product Description
This glass pendant will add a touch of color and pizazz to your wardrobe It was made in the "pot melt" style of melting glass in the kiln. After proper annealing and cooling, the glass was shaped and small previously fired
glass balls were added to it. It was then fired a second time.
This is a dimensional piece with dichroic glass showing through on the bottom portion of the pendant. It measures appx. 2 1/4" x 1" including the sterling silver plated bail.

For those of you not familiar with "pot melt" - it is a term used to describe a technique where pieces of glass are placed in a container or pot with a hole in the bottom. The pot is then elevated above a tray or container. As the kiln heats up, the glass begins to melt and flow through the hole in the bottom of the pot and onto the tray below. The resulting design of the glass is determined by the melting glass itself. It is always a surprise to open the kiln and see what awaits.

The price quoted is for the pendant only.
