This one-of-a-kind vest was created using "fussy cut" panels of Geishas as the focals, with strippiecing incorporated to surround the larger blocks and fill in the spaces between.



The color combination stems from the focal fabric itself, which I have simply picked up in the coordinates. Bright oranges, reds, blacks and beige/gold tones, all combine for a wonderful eye catching piece of wearable art.

There are button and charm embellishments here and there and I have lightly padded the back so that the Sashiko embroidery would stand out. Also used are various textured fibers to give a more 3-D effect to the surface.

The lining is two tone, with red satin at the top which extends to about 3" below the armhole. The rest is black polyester peau de soie. My label is sewn on the lining over a side seam.

It should fit anyone from a size 10 to 12. Back measures 19.5" from underarm to underarm, and the measurement across the shoulders is 14". Each front panel is 9.5" from center front to underarm seam, making the entire bust measurement 38".

The front has no closure, and is not meant to meet at the front, so would easily accommodate a 38" bust or wider. The armhole depth is 10", and the side measures 18" from the armhole to hem. The entire hem measures 43.25" around.

Back length is 29.25" from shoulder to hem. Front measures 28.5" from shoulder to hem.
