A lovely soft dove grey linen-look Victorian walking skirt, perfect for Steampunk, or reenactments. The 7 gore Victorian styled skirt has each panel interfaced with heavy weight muslin for retention of shape and durability.

All seams and hemline are overlocked, and the skirt will be hemmed to your measurement upon purchase. It currently measures 42" long from a natural waistline.

The waistband will fit a 28" to 35" waist, and will be adapted to your waist measurement upon purchase. Pleats will be arranged in the back depending on size.
Measurements:

Waist: 28 inches to 35"

Hips: Up to 50" ( would hang better if smaller)

Length: front. approx. 42"

C.Back the same.

Skirt Circumference: 187" or approx 5 1/2 yards.

The skirt is fairly straight in the front, with small darts at the waist as well as the goring, and the back goring forms the full back of the 1890s. A petticoat with a very full back is recommended to help it stand out at the proper angle. This was photographed without a petticoat.

I have this same style skirt cut out in a dark navy faille, and also a grey menswear wool herringbone, so if you prefer either of those, it will take approx. 2 weeks to complete.

The center back placket is 8" long (not counting the waistband) and closes with 3 Vintage mother of pearl 1" buttons. The waistband hooks closed and another MOP button is sewn onto the waistband.

This fabric was not preshrunk, so dry cleaning is recommended, rather than washing.

This skirt can be ordered in any size, fabric or color you desire. Would be great in a stiff iridescent taffeta, wool gabardine, wool flannel or heavy cotton twill.

If ordering custom, depending on number of orders received, the turn around time is likely to be up to 2 weeks for completion.
