Shades of the pop culture of the 60s, this Hobo bag has all the eye-popping color and shapes which became the "In" thing for those of us who actually lived in the 60s as young women and men.



Actually purchased in the 70s, (I never get rid of anything) this fabric features black and white Op Art, large stylized flowers, and even a picture of Marilyn (or is it really Marlena D.?) which seem to jump off the cotton surface of this wild carry-all bucket bag. Buttons of smiley faces, peace symbols, and stylized flowers just add to the aura of the genre.



The front of the bag has been painted here and there, with shiny, sparkly, and metallic fabric paints for even more glitz.



Youll find lined, padded pockets on the exterior and interior. The bottom is oval and measures 4"x 11.5". The bag is 27" from shoulder to bottom seam, and is 14" side to side. Although I consider it to be a soft bag, it has an inner lining of close woven quilt batting to give it stability.



The outer pocket and the lining match, and the handle is lined in the outer fabric. It also has a magnetic snap closing.

I've had this fabric since it was first sold in the late 1960's, and finally figured I should use it for something rather than sit around for another 35 years!

It really brings back the flavor of the times, with the flower power and bold designs!
