"Candy is Dandy" is a whimsical OOAK (one of a kind) fantasy sculpture, created with a strong artist-quality polymer clay and hand-painted with acrylics. A cute little furry elf eats a candy while riding a weird (but docile) Dragon Snail monster.

The monster (which is part Dragon Snail™, part lump) sports a beard of green-dyed deer hide. His purple eyes were handmade by me. The reins and saddle pad are leather, and a real pebble (being used as a counterweight) is tied to the back of the stick with hemp cord. The candies were made from translucent and colored clays.

7 inches high (5 inches to top of rider's head), 10.5 inches long (mount alone is 8 inches long). The rider is less than 2 inches high from bum to cap.

Candy is Dandy won a merit award in the 2009 Sculpture Exhibition sponsored by the Santa Clara Cultural Advisory Commission in cooperation with the Triton Museum of Art.
